As the year wraps up, I’ve been thinking a lot about Novel Paws and, to be honest, about myself too.
I started this little business because I love cozy, bookish things, and I love pets with all my heart. I wanted to create gifts that feel warm and meaningful—the kind that make you smile when you see them on your mug or shelf—and I wanted it to truly matter.
I won’t sugarcoat it. Building Novel Paws this year has been exciting, stressful, full of learning curves, and included many late nights. There were times I felt really proud, and other times I felt overwhelmed and questioned if I was doing things right.
But every time I thought about pets waiting in shelters, rescues working hard to make ends meet, and animals who just need someone to say “yes,” I knew I couldn’t give up. Pets aren’t just extras in our lives. They’re family.
That’s why giving back is part of everything I do here.
Here’s how your purchase makes a difference:
- 35% of profits from our cozy gifts (POD items) go to animal rescues.
- $2 from every dog toy purchase is donated.
- $1 from every dog treat purchase is donated.
